Our organization partners across HP to build and operate a number of big data pipelines and data product solutions to drive business insights.In this role, you will be working with Data Architects, Product/Program Managers, and other Experts to strategically accelerate the Big Data Platform for delivering enterprise data across the HP ecosystem.Job SummaryThis role is responsible for deployment through all software development lifecycle stages across distributed systems with a goal of using industry standards and continuous improvements in release processes to ensure scalability and consistency. The role ensures that software applications meet high-quality standards, and implements testing and quality control processes to prevent defects and ensure a positive user experience. The role monitors and scales critical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoots issues.ResponsibilitiesPerform analysis and proof of concept of new technologies and solutions, both open-source and commercial, and stay current with industry trendImplement and integrate Infrastructure as Code platform building blocksTest system integrity, implement designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as neededBuilding and maintaining tools, solutions and services associated with deployment and the operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errorsAutomate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirementsExperience in requirements definition and transforming concepts into workable process models and solutionsTroubleshoot issues during testing and production, catching and solving before launchManaging and deploy product updates/fixes as required while implementing integrations when they ariseMust Have SkillsMinimum 2 - 5 years DevOps experience supporting enterprise-grade applicationsExperience with K8sExperience with CI/CDExperience with PythonFamiliar with TerragruntExperience with Cloud providers (AWS & Azure)Desired SkillsExperience with Databricks and other Big data toolsExperience with Airflow, Helm ChartsExperience with GitOps, Github Enterprise CloudAbility to work independently under a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressureDemonstrated working knowledge of software engineering fundamentals (i.e. developing, testing, debugging, etc..) running on close based platformsKnowledge of Agile development methodology and software development principles and strategiesImplement services (i.e. REST APIs, micro services, authentication, authorization) and integrate with other systems in Python/Java/JavaScriptEducationBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalentThe pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
