We’re a fast growing team looking for hard working and talented candidates excited about building a large pipeline of projects across the country.\n\nJob Description\n\nKorsail Energy is seeking a Project Development Associate to join our growing team. This position is for someone with 1-3 years’ experience as a utility scale solar or storage developer interested in managing renewable energy projects through all phases of the project development lifecycle.\n\nQualifications\n\nThe Project Development Associate will drive the development of greenfield solar and storage projects from initial land search efforts through to commercial operation. You will have a significant amount of responsibility in this role along with significant room for growth in the company.\nResponsibilities include:\nIdentifying market opportunities, performing diligence, and negotiating purchase and lease agreements on potential development parcels\nManaging local and national permitting on multiple projects in varied jurisdictions across the county\nManaging a diverse group of consultants, engineers, attorneys, and other project stakeholders\nManaging project development budgets and milestones to achieve on time and at or under cost\nOriginating and negotiating power purchase agreements\nInterfacing directly with landowners, investors, and other project stakeholders\nRequirements\nWe are seeking an individual with 1-3 years of utility scale solar project development experience. Candidates should also be detail- oriented, proactive, supportive, and team-oriented.\nThe chosen applicant will have experience in the following areas:\n1+ years of work at a utility scale solar developer, in a solar project management or development role is required\nMust demonstrate experience with projects connecting to ISOs and PURPA\nProven track record of project management, land development and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders\nUnderstanding of finance and energy markets\nGIS experience – e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, etc\nExperience with land acquisitions\nExperience with project zoning / permitting\nExperience with transmission and distribution-level interconnection\nExperience with energy storage (a plus, not required)\nHigh proficiency with project management software, in addition to MS Office suite\nMust be hard working and comfortable with infrequent travel and extended hours\nMust be friendly, persuasive, and a diligent person\n\nAdditional Information\n\nTO APPLY - Please send an email/cover letter touching on: 1) why this role interests you, 2) your experience with solar project development, and 3) some examples of your role in prior utility scale solar projects.
