Ideal salary max target of $160K.\n\nOur client is looking for the following experience:\nStandards knowledge of Spacecraft Loading & Design Analysis, NASA STD 5002 and ECSS‐E‐HB‐32‐26\nCurrent experience with FEA tools\nSolidworks or similar CAD design experience\nSpacecraft mechanical systems experience\n\nHere's what you'd do:\nThe Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and activating spacecraft mechanical systems, including umbilical, deployment, and robotics, payload attachment mechanisms, docking systems, fluid and pneumatic disconnects to support the client's goal of providing terrestrial and orbital refuelling solutions.\nDesign and analyze mechanical components for satellite systems and subsystems.\nIncorporate additive-manufactured parts into structural design.\nGenerate 3D engineering models and associated 2D drawings.\nPerform and evaluate Finite Element Analysis of components and assemblies, including stress, vibration, thermal expansion, and modal modeling, using commercial FEA software packages.\nWrite system requirements, interface control, and other design documents.\nWrite analysis reports documenting mechanical analysis performed, incorporating industry standards.\nWrite test plans for system testing to meet mechanical/environmental standards.\nInterface with fluids, software, electrical engineering teams, customers, and vendors.\nWork independently as well as part of a team and manage key supplier relationships.\nManage your time, workflow, and deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.\nBenefits\nBenefits include: medical, dental, vision, Simple IRA with a company match of up to 3%, PTO and 8 company-paid holidays.\nAbout Acara Solutions\nAcara is a premier recruiting and workforce solutions provider-we help companies compete for talent.
