The Assembler is responsible for assembling steel and stainless steel parts and accessories for a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment.\nJob Functions:\nAssemble components to produce a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment\nTag components with required identification to enable tracking through the job process\nOperate machinery such as drill press, punch press, saw, etc. for modification\nRead and follow blueprints and the layout of parts\nComplete paperwork daily\nPerform quality-control checks\nOperate the forklift and overhead cranes as needed\nMaintain material supply\nProvide on-the-job training to new and temporary employees\nAssist in other departments as needed\nMaintain and clean work area\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nAbility to work overtime, as needed\nAdherence to the company safety standards\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nFluent knowledge of tooling changes and bend deductions\nAbility to read and follow blueprint drawings\nGood oral and written communication in English\nAbility to operate other shop equipment such as vertical milling machine, punching machines, lathe and cutting saws\nFork truck driver’s license\nAbility to operate overhead crane up to 15 tons\nMust be authorized to work in the United States, with proper documentation\nMust have own tools\nEducation/Experience:\n2-5 years’ work experience assembling conveyors or like components\n2-5 years’ experience with steel or sheet metal in a manufacturing environment\n\nWhy Work for Westfalia Technologies, Inc.?\nOur culture can be defined as one of progression and flexibility.
