Data runs on STACK.\n\nTHE POSITION:\n\nSTACK is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to help our growing business meet aggressive environmental sustainability objectives. As Sustainability Manager for the Americas region, you will play a pivotal role executing STACK’s global sustainability strategy while addressing unique, local environmental challenges. Ideal candidates have experience measuring and tracking data center sustainability performance metrics, knowledge of sustainable design and construction practices, and demonstrated success and passion for decarbonizing the built environment.\n\nManage the implementation of sustainable design and construction standards across regional data center portfolio.\nSupport the execution of STACK Americas decarbonization roadmap in alignment STACK’s global Net Zero commitment, including Scope 1-3 GHG emissions forecasting, decarbonization planning, and execution.\nSupport supply chain sustainability engagement.\nSupport the evaluation and implementation of design and operational strategies related to GHG emissions reduction, water conservation, waste reduction, and biodiversity protection.\nManage data collection and reporting processes for key sustainability performance metrics.\nSupport quarterly and annual environmental performance reporting to internal senior leadership as well as external third-party reporting frameworks (e.g. CDP).\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability initiatives into business operations, driving innovation and continuous improvement in environmental performance.\n\nTHE DETAILS:\nLocation: Fully Remote; Denver, Colorado; or San Francisco, California\nTravel: Limited travel required\nReports to: Director of Sustainability\nMUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related field.\n7-10 years’ experience in corporate and/or real estate sustainability.\nExtensive knowledge and experience in elements of sustainable design and construction practices, with data center experience a strong preference.\nStrong understanding of GHG accounting best practices, including best-in-class accounting methodologies outlined in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and target-setting criteria outlined by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).\nKnowledge of market trends related to climate action in the corporate and real estate sectors.\nExperience tracking, measuring, and reporting on sustainability performance metrics across key areas such as carbon, energy, water, and waste management.\nStrong analytical, creative thinking, and communications skills with proven ability to communicate complex technical and market information and analysis to all organizational levels.\nComfort creating process and implementing strategies and procedures that serve an organization.\nAbility to perform work at multiple levels (analysis, project management, strategy, leadership).\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nTHIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:\nYou’re a strong communicator.
