This role requires close collaboration with both hardware and software teams to ensure robust performance across diverse operational scenarios.\r\nThis is a full time,onsiteposition in El Segundo, CA andyou must be a US citizen and able to obtain US top secret security clearance to apply for this position .\r\nKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement state estimation algorithms, including multi-sensor fusion for IMUs, GPS, cameras, and other onboard sensors.\r\nDevelop and deploy real-time software for embedded platforms.\r\nTest and validate algorithms in both simulated and real-world environments.\r\nDiagnose and improve estimation performance under challenging conditions such as sensor noise, environmental interference, and hardware limitations.\r\nCollaborate with autonomy, controls, and perception teams to integrate state estimation into navigation and guidance systems.\r\nKeep up to date with advancements in state estimation, robotics, and related research fields.\r\nKey Qualifications3+ years of experience developing state estimation algorithms for robotics, UAVs, or similar autonomous systems.\r\nStrong background in sensor fusion methods (e.g., Kalman filter variants, particle filters).\r\nProficiency in C++ or Python.\r\nExperience with embedded or real-time computing environments.\r\nFamiliarity with IMU, GPS, camera, and lidar sensors.\r\nSolid understanding of linear algebra, probability, and optimization techniques.\r\nExperience with simulation tools such as Gazebo or Mujoco.\r\nBy applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
