They will partner closely with executive leadership to support business decision-making, optimize financial processes, and strengthen financial governance. This role is also expected to be a technology-forward finance leader who can drive transformation, leverage automation, and promote the responsible use of AI and advanced analytics.Job QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting required; advanced degree preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation requiredMinimum 10 years of progressive managerial experience in Accounting and/or FinanceManufacturing industry experience preferredStrong experience in both public and private accounting environments preferredDemonstrated record of progressive leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaborationAdvanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controlsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsStrong technology orientation with experience driving finance transformation, process automation, workflow optimization, and adoption of digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions and advanced analyticsPosition ResponsibilitiesOversee the monthly close process, including analytical review of operating results to ensure accurate and complete accounting recordsPrepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAPReview journal entries and supporting workpapers to reflect monthly activity and account balancesImplement, document, and continuously improve close and reporting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient financial reportingLead finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline reporting, improve data quality, and enhance scalability across accounting and finance operationsImplement and maintain processes to record transactions by department and compare actual results to budgetServe as the enterprise risk management lead for PLD, including oversight of insurance programsSupervise the preparation of monthly financial reports, periodic reforecasts, and the annual operating budgetPerform comprehensive financial analysis from balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow perspectives to support business performance evaluationUse data analytics, dashboards, automation, and AI-enabled insights to improve forecasting, performance visibility, variance analysis, and executive-level decision supportPrepare cash flow projections to effectively manage liquidity and maximize returns on excess cashCoordinate preparation of the annual tax return with external CPA firmsAssist in the preparation of quarterly tax estimates and annual tax filings, including supporting workpapersLead the annual year-end audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditorsCoordinate and record investments in funds, securities, and short-term instrumentsMaintain fixed asset records and coordinate quarterly physical inventory of assets in partnership with the IT departmentReview and allocate shared expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities, including software and professional servicesDesign, implement, document, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reportingEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and financial reporting standardsSupport continuous improvement of financial governance, risk management, and control environmentsChampion the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, automation tools, and AI capabilities within finance while maintaining appropriate governance, controls, data integrity, and compliance standardsRecruit, develop, coach, and evaluate accounting staff to build a high-performing teamFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementPerform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectivesPhyisical RequirementsOccasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 poundsClimb stairs when neededSit for long periods of timeOccasionally stoop, kneel or crouchUse hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objectPL Developments is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
