Warehouse Operations Specialist
Position Overview:Goodin Company is a leading wholesale supply company providing high-quality products and dependable service to a wide range of commercial and industrial clients. We’re seeking an individual with practical day to day warehouse experience that can apply your analytical knowledge on a larger scale to our multiple locations. Looking for someone that is the “go to” person and has an interest in learning more and sharing that knowledge. In this corporate position, you will need to review reports, educate and ensure procedural compliance at our many locations along with other operational needsEssential Functions:Adapt to the many operational needs of our business, multiple locations, and how sales and warehousing works togetherReview, educate, and ensure branch compliance with policies, procedures, and inventory integrityReview and analyze reports related to warehouse productivity, inventory, etc.Must have a solid knowledgebase of general warehouse shipping, receiving, and a WMS system (Warehouse Management System with RF handheld scanners)Collaborate with various departments such as purchasing, accounts payable, and warehousing to help aid in developing solutions for the operational challengesProfit-minded approach: Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, and cost reductions and collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to implement appropriate changesQualifications:Must have 3+ years' experience in a warehouse in our industry (building materials, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)Warehouse Management Software experience required (WMS with RF handheld scanners)Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management preferred, or significant industry experience in an operational positionStrong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Infor CloudSuite Distribution, Epicor Prophet21, Oracle NetSuite)Proficiency in basic Microsoft office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesBenefits:As a leader in our industry, Goodin Company can offer a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, disability, retirement savings plan with Company match, profit sharing, paid time off, and more.
