Completes assignments daily. Proposes improvements to processes. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.\n\nUnder minimal supervision, maintains the outside of the facilities.\n\nMake sure all lawns, grounds and flower beds are maintained to Whelen standards.\n\nAdapts to new procedures, techniques, tools, material and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position.\n\nRelies on experience and judgment to accomplish assigned tasks and goals with other grounds personnel.\n\nMows and dresses up the Whelen property.\n\nRepairs all gardens so they look the best they can.\n\nAbility to work under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisors.\n\nRun equipment that you are qualified on with care.\n\nRemove snow and maintain a safe working environment.\n\nWork with the JIRA system to ensure everything is documented.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nHave 3 years’ experience landscaping.\n\nRequirements\n\nHigh School w/3+ years’ experience.\n\nPhysical demands and abilities\n\nAble to lift 35 pounds.\n\nRegularly perform repetitive tasks.\n\nAble to stand for entire shift.\n\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.\n\nAll employees shall\n\nComply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.\n\nReport to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.\n\nAttend scheduled EH&S training program.\n\nActively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.\n\nRecommend improved EH&S practices.\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively with co‑workers, supervisors, and third parties.
