Who We Are Sitting on a quiet tree-lined street in Soho, twelve floors rise above the neighborhood’s storied lofts, boutiques, and galleries. The name derives from the particular manner of hospitality, one that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel — discreet, refined, generous. Our hotel has 90 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The street-side seafood restaurant and second floor cocktail bar will be venues that are open to the public. The Apartment and The Rooftop are spaces reserved exclusively for guests and friends of guests. While our hotel falls under the Standard International umbrella, it will be positioned as a wholly distinct and separate concept from The Standard with a different market positioning, design aesthetic, and service culture. Job Purpose: The Room Service Attendant is responsible for providing an excellent and highly efficient in-room dining service for our guests. The main responsibilities will be taking food and beverage orders on the phone and delivering them to guests’ rooms and clearing trays from public areas and rooms when required. The Room Service Attendant will have a thorough knowledge of our Room Service menu and wine list and will be maximizing food and beverage sales through personalized guest service and responding to guests’ requests. Duties and Responsibilities: The RS Attendant shall be well groomed, well always presented and wearing proper In Room Dining uniform when on Shift. Order taking (over the phone, pre orders). Room Service Attendant must answer the phone within 3 rings . proper greeting is said , all orders repeated back to the guest, quote deliver time frame Posting through POS. Double check the orders with Chefs to avoid any misunderstandingif special order Prep trays, according to the orders (use of, extra cutleries, or any other additional item). Deliver food, beverage, silverware, glasses to guest’s or any other request that is possible to do so. Available to deliver ice upon request of the guest Ability to carry a tray up to 20lbs for delivery of food Ability to work alone, and as a part of a team. Providing outstanding service following the company vision. Maintain cleanliness of public areas (floors; floor pantries). Responsible for Amenities delivery, according to Level of the stay. Restock dry goods and beverage, plates , cutlery, glassware in their station Follow all food and safety rules and procedures. Report any issues to the Supervisor / Manager. Other duties assigned by Manager. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: At least 1 year of experience in Housekeeping. Experience with proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment and knowledge of proper chemical handling. A very strong eye for detail. Flexible hours are required, including holidays, weekends and supervisory coverage when needed. Understanding of the English language. Basic computer skills (excel, Outlook Express, Word) Physical Requirements: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lb. without assistance. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
