This role combines full-stack software engineering, Python development, security engineering, Identity and Access Management (IAM), automation, APIs, and cloud technologies.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building secure backend services and user interfaces, developing RESTful APIs, integrating identity and security platforms, and translating security requirements into scalable technical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop production-grade backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation using Python.Design and develop full-stack applications spanning front-end interfaces, backend services, APIs, databases, and deployment environments.Translate security requirements, risks, and business needs into scalable technical solutions and security controls.Design, develop, and secure RESTful APIs and integrations with backend services, databases, identity platforms, and external systems.Implement and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities, including:Authentication and authorizationRBAC/ABACOAuth/OIDCSSOFederationIntegrate applications with identity and security platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0, or similar technologies.Develop applications using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, React, Angular, or Vue.Work with additional programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Go.Deploy and support applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.Implement cloud security controls involving identity, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and secure deployment.Collaborate with security, engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to develop production-ready solutions.Troubleshoot application, API, authentication, integration, and security issues.Apply modern software engineering practices including Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and secure development.Required SkillsStrong Python development experience.Hands-on full-stack development experience.Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM).Experience developing and securing RESTful APIs.Experience in the security domain.Experience with backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, and application deployment.Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.Experience with one or more frameworks such as:FastAPIFlaskDjangoReactAngularVueKnowledge of authentication, authorization, RBAC/ABAC, OAuth/OIDC, SSO, and federation.Experience integrating with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0, or comparable identity platforms.Preferred / Desired SkillsStrong experience working in Linux/Unix environments.Knowledge of troubleshooting, logging, service management, and scripting.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of Git, code reviews, testing, and modern software engineering practices.Experience analyzing security telemetry, logs, APIs, and structured data.Exposure to pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or similar data-processing libraries.Familiarity with Generative AI/LLMs, including prompt design, API integration, output evaluation, and AI security considerations.Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can independently design and build secure full-stack solutions while working across Python, APIs, IAM, cloud, security, automation, and systems integration.Candidates should be comfortable taking a security challenge or requirement and turning it into a scalable, secure, production-ready technical capability.
