You’ll be part of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team that values your ideas and contributions.\nSummary:\nThe Test Engineer provides support for test processes on the production floor and product startups.\nResponsibilities:\n\nCoordinates the installation of production test equipment\nPerforms test equipment qualifications and characterization\nCoordinates the installation of hardware and software updates as required\nProposes ideas for custom tooling for overall test process and equipment improvement\nParticipates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities\nAssists in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testability\nAssists in developing product specific test programs\nWorks with cross functional teams to address corrective actions\nAssists maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures\nAnalyzes line return information to understand and drive corrective action on test process issues\nComplies and follows all company policies and procedures\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned\n\nOther information:\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nEffective interpersonal skills\nEffective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required\nEffective organization and prioritization skills\nDemonstrate high attention to detail\nAbility to work with diverse groups\nDemonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism.\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.\nUnderstanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.\nStrong customer service and client focus\nWorking knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software\n4 year degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering, Computer Science or related field\nEquivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management\nUnderstanding of electrical design principles\nAbility to work individually or in teams\nAbility to support a 24/7 global business operation as required\nAbility to lift 75 lbs. to manage test fixtures\nUnderstanding of and ability to use metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g. DPMO, FPY, DPM, Six Sigma, FMEA, etc.)\n0-3+ years of electronics manufacturing experience\n\nBenchmark considers this a safety-sensitive position.\nEducation:\nGeographical Location: Texas:Austin\nPhysical Location: Austin, TX\nShift: Shift 1\nWork Schedule: M-F 0800-1700\nFull Time\nExport Control: This job position may include access to controlled information or technology covered under applicable U.S. export control laws.
