That's Perdue.\nSummary\nThe Accomac, VA team is actively recruiting for 1st & 2nd shift Production Supervisors. The Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality output and strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance. This role places strong emphasis on fostering associate growth, developing talent, and maintaining a safety culture of continuous improvement.\nThe Production Supervisor is a key leader who drives team performance and upholds quality production standards.\nWe are offering a one time $10,000 bonus to qualified candidates starting on or before 12/31/2025.\nPrincipal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nSafety and Risk Management\nEnforce safety protocols, team compliance with safety standards and a safe working environment for all associates.\nConduct regular safety training, risk assessments and incident investigations to prevent workplace injuries.\nStay updated on regulatory changes and ensure team compliance with Safety Standards.\nFood Safety and Quality Standards, Regulatory and Environmental Compliance and Continuous Improvement\nMaintain compliance with all food safety regulations and company policies, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation protocols, to maintain a safe and high-quality production environment.\nEnsure all products meet or exceed established quality specifications through rigorous adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nLead corrective actions non-compliance and drive initiatives to reduce waste, contamination risks and product recalls.\nImplement and monitor quality control processes, including inspections, audits, and corrective actions.\nMaintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, ISO standards, and industry-specific requirements.\nLead corrective actions for non-conformances and drive initiatives to reduce waste, contamination risks, and product recalls.\nIn collaboration with leadership, execute lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce costs.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to boost operational efficiency and product quality.\nVerify the facility adheres to all relevant environmental laws and regulations including those related to air and water quality, waste disposal and hazardous management.\nPeople Development, Engagement and Leadership\nMentor and coach team members on enhancing skills while managing performance and learning and development of the team.\nFoster a collaborative, inclusive and engaged team culture aligning with company values, leadership behaviors while promoting associate growth.\nDrive associate engagement and retention.\nProduction Oversight\nSupervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules, customer specifications, output goals and quality standards.\nCollaborate with maintenance to monitor equipment performance and operational issues to minimize downtime.\nOptimize labor, raw materials and equipment usage to ensure cost-effective operations while meeting production standards.\nReporting and Communication\nMaintain accurate production records including output, quality metrics and associate performance and attendance.\nProvide regular updates to management on production status, challenges and opportunities for improvement.\nAct as a liaison between production teams and other departments such as engineering, quality assurance and supply chain.\nMinimum Education and Experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment with 1+ year in a supervisory role.\nBachelors/Associates degree candidates with no manufacturing experience must have at least 1+ years of supervisory experience.\nThe ideal candidate will have:\nAn Associates or Bachelors Degree (highly preferred)\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on associate development\nIn depth knowledge of quality control processes and compliance standards (i.e. ISO, OSHA, etc.)\nAwareness and willingness to learn lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies\nExcellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills\nFamiliarity with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience Preferred\nPreferred:\nPoultry or Protein production experience\nCertifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, OSHA 10/30 or similar certifications\nEnvironmental Factors and Physical Requirements\n1. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. 2. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
