This allows us to provide our customers with the best solutions for their applications and our employees the challenges of learning and working with the best-in-class technologies.\nThe Field Engineer Level II candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation systems. You will work directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the successful deployment and optimal performance of HVAC and other integrated building systems. You will use your technical expertise to support the development and implementation of solutions that improve the efficiency, sustainability, and safety of building environments. Ensure systems are installed according to specification and fully functional upon completion. Responsible for performing the work on-site or remotely\nKey responsibilities and accountabilities:\nRepair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.\nAssist in the programming of DDC controls following a specific sequence of operations.\nPerform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that HVAC controls continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.\nInspect drives, motors, controllers, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.\nUse tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.\nDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.\nInspect, operate, and test controls and equipment to diagnose system malfunctions.\nRecord maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work.\nPrepare written service reports to be handed into the office and as a receipt for the customer.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred.\nTechnical certifications or industry training in building automation systems (such as BACnet, LonWorks, or related standards) is a plus.\n3+ years of experience in field engineering, building automation, HVAC systems, or related technical areas.\nExperience working with BAS software, controllers, sensors, and other building technologies.\nFamiliarity with electrical wiring, control systems, and network protocols ( TCP/IP, BACnet, and Modbus).\nDirect knowledge or experience with Distech is desired but not required.\nPrefer technical experience with PLC devices, programming, and integration.\nStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues.\nAbility to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and control system diagrams.\nWhat we offer: Our benefits package includes Health, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability, Section 125, and 401k.
