In this role you will work witha team environment providing care to adults and/or teens at CHD?s CrisisStabilization Unit; this is part of a single location providing crisis,outpatient behavioral health and brief stabilization care. Essentialduties for these roles may include: Collaborating with nurses,physicians, advance practice nurses, psychologists, social workers, orother professionals Collaborating with guardians, relatives, andsignificant others of people served when clinically indicatedDocumenting assessments and treatments in the electronic health recordMonitoring vital signs Assessment of signs of substance withdrawal andcompletion of standardized assessment tools such as the Clinical OpioidWithdrawal Scale (COWS, CIWA, CIWAb) Fills physician orders Administersmedications Manage Medication Refill requests and Triage requestsEngages in a medication reconciliation process Coordinates medical careContributes to comprehensive assessments Brief crisis counselingIndividualized crisis prevention planning Providing psychoeducationAssisting With Discharge Planning And Care Coordination REQUIREMENTSRegistered Nurse License in the State of Massachusetts Reliable,registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check Approvedcriminal background check (CORI) Bi-Lingual English/Spanish preferred.Crisis Stabilization nursing shifts include: Monday-Friday 3rd shift,11p-7a SUCCESS FACTORS: The ideal candidate for this opportunity will bea self-motivated team player with a harm-reduction orientation to care.They will bring strong organizational skills, an ability to workindependently and a passion for care for the individuals served.
