Global Director, Operational Excellence – Industrial Engineering Salary Range: $200k to $220kJob SummaryThe Director of Operational Excellence – Industrial Engineering (IE) leads global industrial engineering initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites for our client. This role partners with site-level IE leaders to drive manufacturing excellence, operational efficiency, and productivity through the implementation of standardized systems and best practices.The Director is responsible for identifying bottlenecks across fabs, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and enhancing cycle time, on-time delivery, and throughput. This role also establishes global analytical models for capacity planning, KPI tracking, and Work-in-Process (WIP) management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead global Industrial Engineering (IE) strategy and initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites (fabs)Manage and facilitate the corporate IE Directors’ forumDrive cross-functional global projects from planning through execution, including: OEE improvementCost reduction and budget controlWIP optimizationErgonomics and operator efficiency improvementsCAPEX planning and managementDevelop and implement global operational procedures; ensure compliance across sitesLead corporate capacity planning and capacity management programsIdentify manufacturing bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutionsEstablish and standardize analytical models for: KPI trackingProduction planningWIP managementDrive manufacturing excellence through benchmarking and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders across global, multi-cultural environmentsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field10+ years of industrial engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environmentProven leadership experience at the Director level or equivalentStrong expertise in manufacturing operations and industrial engineering methodologiesDemonstrated experience leading global, cross-functional teamsAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approachStrong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse, multi-cultural stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related disciplineExperience with optimization, tool modeling, and performance metricsDeep knowledge of Manufacturing Science concepts, including: Scheduling and dispatchingTheory of Constraints (TOC)Lean manufacturingPush/Pull systemsInventory managementCapacity planningStrong background in statistics and data analysisKey CompetenciesStrategic thinking with attention to detailPassion for solving complex problems using data and structured methodologiesContinuous improvement mindset and intellectual curiosityAbility to balance big-picture strategy with operational executionStrong leadership and stakeholder management skills
