Working under the direction of the Superintendent and in coordination with the Board of Trustees, legal counsel, the District's police-department consultant, TCOLE, and local law enforcement partners, the Police Chief will design and implement a professional, student-centered, legally compliant school district police department. After the department is authorized to operate, the Police Chief will direct all department operations and personnel and will remain accountable to and report directly to the Superintendent.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Education and Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, public administration, emergency management, education, or a related field preferred.\n\nAt least eight years of progressively responsible, full-time law enforcement experience, including at least three years in a supervisory or command-level position.
