This is an entry role in the MCS group which provides Outsourced IT (MSP) and Cybersecurity services to our clients. This role will get exposure to many technologies and provide a fast-paced opportunity to learn a lot. An ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude, at least 2 years of technology support or system administration experience, and is comfortable communicating with clients. The pace and demands in this environment are usually much greater than an "in-house IT" position. This person should be prompt and/or know the importance of communicating ETA's to clients. Most importantly, this person should be eager to learn and grow.Position Responsibilities: Answer support callsProvide both remote and onsite client supportSupport a full range of technologies from endpoint, mobile, to server solutions.Document client networksAssist Sr. Engineers on projectsEndpoint patch and vulnerability managementBackup managementOffice 365 administration (Exchange, Intune, SharePoint)Security incident cleanup and remediation assistanceTakes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolutionTakes a personal interest in, and responsibility for, quality of work they perform or are associated withAbility to pay close attention to detail while performing technically detailed tasksAbility and willingness to recognize when it is necessary to ask for technical expertise from others on the teamAbility to provide accurate time estimates for how long a task will takeAbility to quickly learn new technologies using self-study materials and intuitionAbility to articulate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical peopleEnjoys helping people to the extent that no problem is considered mundane, no matter how simple the solutionIs self-motivated and can be self-directed when necessaryEnjoys sharing information, supporting others, and working on a team to achieve team goalsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience required with Windows and Mac desktop operating systemsExperience with Office 365 and/or Google WorkspaceUnderstanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting Internet connectivityExperience with routers and firewallsUnderstanding of Terminal Services and/or CitrixUnderstanding of relationship between switches, hubs, patch panels and connecting nodes to a networkUnderstanding of DNS servicesWorking Knowledge of Firewall Technologies such as: SonicWALL, Sophos, Fortinet or similar.Working Knowledge of Wireless TechnologiesCredentials and Experience: Related technical experience of two to four yearsEager to learn and be a sponge.Certifications such as MCITP, MCP, CCNA/CCDA/CCNP, A+, Project+, Network+, Security+ are a plus.PowerShell scripting or similar experience is a plus.Experience working for an MSP is a major plus.
