This individual will primarily be responsible for assisting with implementing corrective actions identified through various means to improve the safety and health environment, as well as the coordination of other safety initiatives. This individual must be able to communicate with all levels of the facility. The successful candidate for this position must be able to administer policies and procedures in accordance with established local, state, and federal requirements\nKey Responsibilities:\nPromotes Safety as the top priority through assistance and execution of development of EHS Programs\n\nHelp assist with conduction of annual and new hire safety training and help manage Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandated safety training topics and materials\n\nMonitors internal compliance to policies and procedures and addresses issues by working with proper leadership personnel\n\nTrack and manage near miss program\n\nComplete safety assessments and monthly safety audits\n\nMaintain safety data sheets (SDS's) for the site and ensure access to associates is adequate\n\nAbility to input initial incident notifications into company's Intellex recordkeeping system, and gather information on all accidents and near miss investigations\n\nHelp manage site's compliance with ISO 45001, 50001 & 14001\n\nParticipate in site's Safety Committee & Emergency Response Teams\n\nAbility to obtain FA/CPR/AED training and administer minor first aid\n\nImplement preventive measures for safety with a focus on behavioral based safety\n\nMay be asked to accompany an injured employee for treatment and medical evaluation\n\nConduct daily audits and remain highly visible on production floor to ensure key deliverables and inspections are achieved, including but not limited to: Lockout procedures, racking inspections, dock equipment, ladders, etc.\n\nHelp facilitate, monitor, develop, and track company's JHA's and Standard Work programs\n\nOther additional duties assigned by Manager\n\nQualifications:\nPrior Safety Training experience preferred\nComputer skills\nMicrosoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)\nMicrosoft Teams\nSharePoint\nAble to multi-task and prioritize effectively and ability to read and comprehend documents\nDeliver guidance on task items to include follow-up (communicate effectively)\nAbility to acquire knowledge of OSHA 1910 Regulations\nOSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain certificate within 60 days is required.\nBenefits Overview:\nAVGOL offers a very competitive benefits package to our full-time employees, some of which\ninclude:\nMedical, dental, vision insurance\nLife insurance\n401(k) match\nVacation/PTO, paid holidays, paid birthday\nPay Range: $47,000 - $55,000\n\nWork Environment:\nOur facility is a combination of (60%) manufacturing, (10%) warehouse and (30%) office.
