This is a rare opportunity to shape the architecture, engineering culture, and product direction of a rapidly scaling company from the ground up.\nYou’ll lead a team of software engineers, driving innovation and ensuring the team delivers high-impact, scalable, and elegant solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPartner with Product, Design, another other stakeholders to understand customer needs and design the right solutions for them.\nLead the design and implementation of major product and platform changes across Glade’s software stack.\nContinually raise the bar for the engineering organization by providing technical oversight and mentorship, building tooling, and improving engineering processes.\nOperate fluently across the full product lifecycle from design and implementation to production.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in leadership or staff/principal roles.\nHave a strong understanding of engineering principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies with our technology stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL\nHave meaningful experience with building (and rebuilding) production systems to deliver new product capabilities and to handle increasing scale.\nHave built or prototyped LLM-powered workflows using inference providers like OpenAI\nCare deeply about the end user experience and take pride in building products to solve customer needs.\nHave a humble attitude, an eagerness to help your colleagues, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make the team succeed.\nOwn problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.\nHow to stand out in this interview application process:\nPut yourself in our shoes.
