This role is responsible for responding to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from individuals seeking assistance, assessing their needs, and providing appropriate referrals to community resources and services. The Community Resource Specialist maintains up-to-date knowledge of local and regional programs, documents all interactions in the organization’s database, and conducts follow-up to ensure needs are being addressed. Daily tasks include gathering client information, evaluating eligibility for services, explaining available options in clear language, and coordinating with partner agencies when necessary. The role also involves contributing to outreach efforts, participating in staff meetings and trainings, and supporting special projects that enhance service delivery and resource coordination.QualificationsStrong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively, empathetically, and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Analytical skills and resource management abilities to assess needs, prioritize cases, and match clients with appropriate services efficiently.Organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry, documentation, and follow-up tracking in case management or CRM systems.Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive situations with discretion and respect.Comfort working in a fast-paced, client-centered environment, including managing multiple inquiries and deadlines.Familiarity with social services, community-based organizations, or human services settings is preferred.Close proximity to Flemington NJ is preferable.
