This position requires a person with strong leadership skills who is self-motivated and has a positive energized effect on others. This person will be a role model for safety, quality, 6S, and for taking ownership for delivering results. This position will also be the functional lead for Machine Shop and Fabrication cells, being fully responsible for all aspects of these departments. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications.\n\nOur Performance Center in Carson, CA is the Engineered Products Group site for our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, and Radio Frequency (RF) product lines.\n\nJob Summary\n\nMaintain production flow and inform Operations Manager of any problems meeting production goals.\n\nAssignment of daily work tasks and priorities to employees in assigned department(s) to ensure no production delays.\n\nResolution of quality, material and work instruction issues.\n\nBe responsible for the daily care and upkeep of equipment and tools used in the work area.\n\nLead 6S efforts and set the example for all employees to follow.\n\nWork with the engineering staff to resolve process and quality issues.\n\nProvide training to employees as required.\n\nRepresent and advocate for the Company by following and enforcing the documented Company policies.\n\nProvide performance feedback from employees working in the department through performance reviews.\n\nDevelop and implement countermeasures and action items to effectively address cell performance issues.\n\nCarries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.\n\nSupports site initiatives as a leader of the organization.\n\nResponsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work and assessing performance.\n\nBe responsible for time and attendance in timekeeping system.\n\nMust be willing and able to work overtime as necessary (weekends included).\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned or required by the position.\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\n\nLeadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\n\nBasic word processing and spreadsheet capability required.\n\nGood organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.\n\nAbility to read and understand specifications and interpret drawings.\n\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\n\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\n\nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\n\nAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nMust be able to communicate effectively.\n\nRequired Experience and Education\n\nHigh School Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.\n\n5+ year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\n\nBase Compensation: USD 75,000.00 - 850,000.00 Paid Salaried\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled\n\n23301 S.
