Dental Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking vital signs and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Perform basic administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
- Support specialized treatments in areas such as Endodontics, Pediatrics, and Prosthodontics as needed.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging when required, assisting in creating accurate dental models.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Experience with dental receptionist duties is a plus, enhancing the ability to manage front-office tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical terminology will be beneficial in providing comprehensive patient care.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix will be advantageous for managing patient records efficiently.
