We are currently hiring a Material Handler - 3rd shift for our Madison, WI facility.\nJOB SUMMARY\nAs a Material Handler, you will work with handling of materials at both the beginning and end of the production process.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaterial Handlers maintain the following accountabilities:\nVerify accuracy of paperwork vs. received material and enter and allocate into the MRP system\nVerify acceptance of material by quality team via certification and document appropriately\nDocumentation of material delivery to appropriate departments\nMove materials to stock machines (substrates) and return rolls and materials to storage\nRelocate finished goods to labelling area and complete labelling\nPlace materials into appropriate racks and document locations on slitter tickets\nMaintain location system\nComplete staging and shipping tasks including pulling orders, move to staging area, checking orders and loading trucks\nAssist if needed in inventory of raw materials monthly (this may involve working odd hours) and involvement in recounts\nProcess new ISO procedures, making sure to document this work\nFollow all safety policies and practices\nOther duties as directed\nQUALIFICATIONS\nLicensed to operate a forklift safely with 1-2 years of experience required\nBasic knowledge of truck capacities, warehouse flow and production process environment (1st in/1st out) location system knowledge preferred\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nMathematical and computer skills\nAbility to work in extreme environmental conditions both inside the facility and out (i.e. high temperatures indoors in summer, cold temperatures inside and out around dock area)\nComfortable with working around hazardous materials\nStrong self-motivating skills and ability to self-manage, prioritize and persevere in stressful situations\nExcellent communication skills and ability to calmly work with different personalities\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
