The Weekend Shift Supervisor will work every weekend to ensure staffing for 24/7 care.Hours: 1:45 PM - 10:15 PMLead with compassion. Support children when they need it most.Isabel's House is seeking an experienced, dependable childcare professional to serve as Child Advocate II, a shift supervisor role within our Crisis Nursery. This position provides leadership and direct supervision to Child Advocates while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well-run environment for children and families in crisis.The Child Advocate II plays a key role in maintaining the daily flow of the house, supporting staff, and modeling best practices in trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate care.What You'll DoAs a Child Advocate II, you will:Supervise and support Child Advocates during your designated shiftEnsure licensing regulations and agency policies are followed at all timesAssign staff duties, activities, and housekeeping responsibilitiesMaintain staffing coverage and child-to-staff ratios, including covering breaks and call-insOrganize and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activitiesModel and lead Conscious Discipline approaches with childrenSupport children's individual needs and de-escalate challenging situationsMake timely, sound decisions to ensure safety and securityComplete and verify documentation and charting in collaboration with Social Services DirectorTrain, coach, mentor, and orient new Child Advocates and volunteersCollaborate with the program administration on staffing, performance, and operationsConduct safety drills and assist with medication oversight and well-child examsParticipate in leadership meetings, staff meetings, and performance evaluationsRequired QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForAt least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of two years of childcare experiencePaid supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership abilityAbility to pass all required background checks and screeningsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPreferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Child Development (CDA)Residential childcare experienceExperience leading teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 care environmentInternal Candidates: 90 days on the designated shift, be in good standing, and have no active disciplinary actions.Skills That Set You ApartStrong leadership and communication skillsSound judgment and ability to remain calm under pressureTeam-oriented mindset with flexibility and initiativeTrauma Informed CareAbility to mentor others and model professional behaviorCommitment to child safety, confidentiality, and quality careWork Schedule & ConditionsShift-based role with weekend work requiredOccasional additional hours to meet program needsDaily contact with children in a residential care settingWhy Isabel's House?Isabel's House is dedicated to providing immediate safety and compassionate care to children and families in crisis.
