Currently hiring for full-time opportunities on 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm).\n\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\n\nAssist Press Operators with setting up flexographic printing press (W&H central impression press and Soma high speed press).\n\nAssist with cleaning crew to maintain cleanliness of presses and press area.\n\nStage the machine to be ready for upcoming jobs to include: (1) appropriate anilox rolls staged based on job spec; (2) metering rollers inspected and staged for the next job; (3) ink pans, hoses, and pumps staged and verified ready for use; (4) verify ink colors are staged and ready for press; (5) verify materials are at the press and ready for use; and, (6) make sure cores are cut for the appropriate web width.\n\nAssist with press operations to include: (1) measuring ink viscosity; (2) loading and unloading rolls from press; and, (3) moving pallets to and from press for raw materials and finished goods.\n\nClean press as required by cleaning checklist between jobs and after final run.\n\nClean press components after use, including anilox rolls, metering rolls, ink pans, hoses, decks,, other parts as necessary.\n\nClean and organize the area around the press to include: (1) sweeping, mopping, and floor cleaning; (2) ensuring the proper chemicals and supplies are staged at the press; (3) ensuring supplies used by the press are filled and organized; and, (4) emptying garbage cans, trim containers and other refuse.\n\nAny other press related duties to ensure the highest efficiency of production.\n\nBe prepared to learn by training and example the basics of press operations, plate setting, anilox selection, color matching, ink testing, lamination and more with the intention of advancing upward in the press operation roles.\n\nEnsure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times.
