Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Testing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project requirements, assessing testing needs, and providing accurate cost estimates for electrical testing services in conjunction with the Sales Representative. The Electrical Testing Estimator will collaborate closely with sales representatives, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all testing activities align with industry standards and client specifications. Responsibilities: Project Evaluation: Review project documentation and specifications to understand electrical testing requirements. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimation. Cost Estimation: Collaborate with Sales Representative to establish detailed cost estimates for electrical testing services, including labor, equipment, materials, and overhead. Utilize industry-standard estimating software and methodologies to ensure accuracy. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their specific testing needs and address any inquiries related to cost estimates. Provide clear and concise explanations of the estimation process and associated costs. Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment between testing requirements and project goals. Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of all estimates, including assumptions and methodologies used. Update and revise estimates as project details evolve or change. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in electrical testing methodologies. Apply knowledge to enhance the accuracy and relevance of cost estimates. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness. Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the estimation process. Requirements: Proven experience in Electrical Estimating in the construction or electrical testing industry. Strong understanding of electrical systems, testing methodologies, and industry standards. Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
