In this position, you will be expected to pivot from training to application, as well as between physical, technical, and administrative work.\r\nAdditional information Work is performed almost entirely outdoors, working at height in a variety of inclement weather conditions year-round.\r\nThis position will be assigned a 4/10's alternate workweek schedule working either Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri.\r\nThis is a very physical job that at times will require intense physical effort, including tower climbing.\r\nYou will be expected to work some overtime on a regular basis, and significant overtime on occasion.\r\nThere can be a significant amount of time spent driving, sometimes requiring several days in a row out-of-town.\r\nThis is a great position to contribute and utilize existing construction or tower/climbing skills.\r\nA Successful Candidate will have High School Diploma or equivalent.\r\nNo fear of heights, driving, or flying.\r\n5 years of driving experience (3 years may be considered with the right combination of experience).\r\nMust be insurable under our company policies with a clean driving record (no more than 1 point, no DUI's, and no at-fault accidents).\r\nExperience driving in inclement weather (trailer experience a plus).\r\nExperience being active outdoors with a desire to work in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold.\r\nPunctual attendance – must have reliable transportation and be able to regularly show up on time.\r\nMust maintain a maximum weight of 250 lbs. or less for proper fit and use of climbing gear and necessary safety equipment.\r\nCapability of communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing, including use of electronic communications.\r\nMust be able to work with a sense of urgency on a consistent basis.\r\nExperience using various hand/power tools.\r\nBasic networking knowledge/experience - IP Addresses, Routers, Gateways, DNS, etc.\r\nMust be able to accurately understand and follow monochrome and full-color schematics and wiring diagrams.\r\nWillingness and ability to grasp new physical and technical skills quickly.\r\nAbility to remain well-organized in an outdoor non-office environment.\r\nAbility to pivot quickly between team and independent work requirements based on the task at hand.\r\nAbility to work at heights for several hours.\r\nAbility to read and follow simple plans, diagrams, and schematics (color and monochrome).\r\nAbility to work overtime and out of town as necessary.\r\nAbility to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.\r\nPhysical requirements Lift up to 58 lbs. from ground level to above head level.\r\nFrequently sitting(driving) and walking (up to 6 hours at a time).\r\nBend, stoop, kneel for 25-35 minutes at a time.\r\nStand, bend, and twist (neck & waist), climb, kneel, squat constantly throughout the day.\r\nAble to accurately understand and distinguish between varying colors and shades of colors.\r\nFrequent to constant use of both hands, including fine manipulation and keyboarding.\r\nGrasping (simple & power), pushing and pulling with both hands.\r\nAble to climb and work on towers and other structures up to 300' for extended periods of time while utilizing fall protection systems.\r\nFrequent to constant reaching, both above and below shoulder level.\r\nBenefits and Compensation information We typically hire at $25 with a skills-based assessment within the first 3-6 months. Starting compensation range is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour for a new technician.
