These activities include metallic and composite components using a range of tools, including finite element analysis (FEA) and hand calculation methods. Advatech has an available position for a Structural Engineer that will focus on the analysis of various aerospace structures and components.\n\nSkills & Requirements\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nExperience with Nastran, ANSYS or other applicable analysis software programs. 3-15 years’ experience performing hand calculations and FEM analysis for loads, stability, stress, and fatigue analysis.\n\nExperience working as a lead with other engineers.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work independently.\n\nAnalyzing components and structures.\n\nRecommending design changes when a component doesn't meet criteria.\n\nGenerating project schedules and cost estimates.\n\nExperience as the primary interface with customers, contractors, and vendors.\n\nDemonstrated experience mentoring less experienced engineers.\n\nExperience reviewing other engineers’ work to maintain a high level of quality.\n\nCreating presentations and reports to document design choices and analysis results.\n\nPresenting results to customers during design reviews.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nKnowledge of Aircraft Gas Turbine Engines, Rotors, Shafts and Blades is highly desirable or experience with aircraft structures and composites in the following areas: Design, fabrication, and analysis of composites, formed aluminum, cast, and other metallic components (Spars, Assemblies, Ailerons, Wing Box, Winglets, Pylons, Wing Edges, etc.).\n\nExperience brainstorming design concepts a plus.\n\nEducation\nRequires a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.\n\nDue to the responsibilities of these positions, customer requirements, and Export Control Information (ECI) all qualified applicants must be U.S. Citizens.\n\nAdvatech Pacific is an Equal Opportunity and affirmative action employer.
