About the Opportunity:The Senior Security Data Engineer role is focused on managing large-scale security telemetry data pipelines across multiple cloud platforms. The role involves maintaining pipeline performance, cost efficiency, and data integrity while collaborating with diverse teams to support cyber defense operations.3. Responsibilities:Manage multi-terabyte-per-day log data ingestion, routing, enrichment, and schema management across AWS and GCPControl data ingest costs and reduce noise without losing critical audit logsModel security data and optimize query performance in Snowflake, BigQuery, and RedshiftDevelop and maintain production services, including custom SIEM connectors and API clientsDefine and uphold service level objectives for log availability and freshness, including dashboard and alert creationMaintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines supporting data operationsBuild AI-driven automation and runbooks to improve triage and resolution timesEnforce identity and access management governance for cloud workloadsLead cross-functional projects involving infrastructure, platform engineering, and incident responseCreate and update standards and documentation; provide mentorship to engineers4. Requirements:Over 5 years of experience building and operating high-volume data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Cribl, Dataflow, Kinesis, or CloudWatchAt least 4 years of production software development experience in Python, Go, Rust, or JavaDeep expertise with AWS and GCP, including infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline managementStrong SQL skills and experience with data modeling in columnar warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or RedshiftProven track record of platform reliability ownership, including participation in on-call rotationsExperience creating actionable executive dashboards and engineering metricsDemonstrated leadership and project management skills across relevant technical domainsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesFamiliarity with enterprise SIEM tools and container technologies is a plusAdditional experience with security telemetry, detections-as-code, AI-assisted workflows, or security testing is advantageous5.
