This position performs duties to receive, retrieve, transfer and store parts and materials for manufacturing operations. Under direct supervision loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard or work site. Reads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment. All Military Veterans Are Encouraged To Apply.\n\nPay: $18 p/hr\nHours/Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm\nEssential Job Duties:\nFills requisitions, work orders, requests for materials or other stock items and moves and/or distributes materials to fabrication and assembly areas.\nAssembles orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or moves orders to packing stations, shipping department or trailers.\nReads production schedules, customer orders, and work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to identify items to be moved, gathered or distributed.\nInspects product load for accuracy and safely moves it around the facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.\nStacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands together in preparation for movement.\nLoads and unloads materials to or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves manually, by hoist, crane or forklift.\nMoves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas by hand, hand truck or forklift.\nSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined locations.\nUses computer and hand-held scanner to assess info, record transactions and verified data.\nRecords amounts of materials or items received or distributed by processing issues, transfers, receipts or sales orders. Key transactions in to RF hand-held or desktop computer.\nShips whole goods/parts to destination and/or moves within assembly/fabrication areas.\nOperates forklifts, cherry pickers, sit down and stand up lifts.\nAccurately records work order information and inventory transactions.\nUses computer to assess information or verify data.\nMaintains a neat, clean and organized work area.\nFollows all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment.\nMaintains focus on work areas for flags indicating materials are out or running low.\nMay be assigned additional responsibilities as necessary to support the business operations.\nJob Qualifications:\nAbility to operate forklift and parts picker lift safely.\nGeneral computer skills - data entry experience.\nPrior experience with RF scanners helpful.\nPrior JD Edwards experience helpful.\nBasic math skills.
