{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"eb965e9e6c23359d781c2ca0","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/eb965e9e6c23359d781c2ca0","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/eb965e9e6c23359d781c2ca0","title":"DevOps Engineer","description":"Prescient Edge is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a Federal Government client.\r\nPlease note that the availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.\r\nBenefits\r\nA competitive salary with performance bonus opportunities.\r\nComprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, vision, dental, and orthodontia coverage.\r\nA substantial retirement plan with no vesting schedule.\r\nCareer development opportunities, including on-the-job training, tuition reimbursement, and networking.\r\nA positive work environment where employees are respected, supported, and engaged.\r\nDescription\r\nShall create and maintain environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages (e.g., Helm values files, YAML manifests) that incorporate STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC policy enforcement per IL environment.\r\nImplement and manage secrets injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault), ensuring compatibility with automated deployment pipelines.\r\nIntegrate CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, automated deployment and rollback of ArcGIS components and related services, supporting ongoing agility and compliance across environments.\r\nCoordinate with Kubernetes and Data Layer Engineers to ensure version control, pipeline integrity, and integration testing for all containerized services deployed under WO-003.\r\nCoordinate with the WO-009 infrastructure team to provide estimated cloud resource usage profiles for Kubernetes-based deployments in IL2, IL4, and IL5 environments.\r\nSupply container and workload specifications to the WO-009 infrastructure team to support provisioning, tagging, and prepay or reservation planning.\r\nImplement resource tagging in alignment with program-wide cloud governance policy and reconcile actual usage against estimates provided by WO-009.\r\nSupport cost optimization efforts led by WO-009 by adjusting workloads and scaling strategies in response to performance and utilization feedback.\r\nJob Requirements\r\nExperience\r\nPossess the knowledge and capability to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure management, and ensure scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.\r\nProficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline).\r\nStrong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), security best practices, and monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is required.\r\nExperience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, automating cloud infrastructure, and implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.\r\nExperience with microservices architecture, service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), and observability tools is required.\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience in DevOps engineering.\r\nDesirable but not required certifications include Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.\r\nSecurity clearance\r\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a clearance.\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer\r\nPrescient Edge is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
