FCAW Structural Fabrication Welder-Fitter

Job Description Day-in-the-LifeYou roll down your welding hood, scan a set of shop drawings, and mark your layout. You align and fit structural steel components, tack them in place, and run clean, consistent FCAW beads to blueprint specs. Throughout the shift, you verify dimensions with a tape measure, squares, and calipers, operate grinders, torches, and saws, and inspect every weld for strength and compliance.
