Bookkeeper / Office and Project Administrator PositionBender Engineering is a small mechanical engineering firm based in Truckee, CA with a satellite office in Sparks, NV. We specialize in energy management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, commercial and residential HVAC design, and commissioning. We are seeking an organized, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper / Office and Project Administrator. This is a key role that keeps our firm running smoothly — from managing the books and contracts to supporting project coordination and client communication. The ideal candidate values accountability and integrity. You are someone who takes initiative, stays organized under multiple competing priorities, and communicates clearly — both verbally and in writing. Prior experience with bookkeeping or office administration is required with experience in both being preferred. Essential Functions:·        Answer phone calls from clients and schedule site visits for the team·        Manage project bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and provide payroll and tax filing support·        Assist with proposal writing, contract management, energy compliance documentation, and project coordination·        Manage business operations and office organization using project management and accounting softwareWork Environment:This is a part-time to full-time position depending on experience and fit. Our regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon. The position will be based primarily in the Truckee area, yet there may be occasional coordination with the Sparks office.
