Are you skilled at coordinating outreach efforts, managing data, and engaging stakeholders in a fast-paced federal environment?Avid Core is seeking a Communications Specialist to support a federal contract focused on real estate acquisition for large infrastructure projects in the Washington, D.C. area. This role will support landowner outreach, communications development, and project coordination efforts, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and effective engagement.To Apply: Submit resumes and cover letters through this posting. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.Candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply for our open positions and to join our bench of talented professionals.Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000, based on experience and qualifications.Overall Responsibilities:Support the development of landowner outreach material to support infrastructure projectsDevelop and distribute communications, mailings, and outreach materialsManage and track outreach and engagement activities and data, including all communications and responsesEnsure all project data is entered into project tracking toolsSupport planning and execution of large infrastructure projectsSupport programs and processes, identify existing or potential problems, resolve and remedy circumstances before problems occur, and modify processes to improve products, procedures, and programsSupport and maintain real estate landowner outreach schedule for multiple large infrastructure projects, to include key milestone dates, deadlines, meetings, discussions, etc.Maintain a list of tracked action items and assist with the closure of those itemsMaintain project documentation files and track points of contact and key activitiesDevelop weekly and monthly progress reports detailing key project activitiesOther duties as assignedQualifications/Skills:2–4 years of experience in communications, public outreach, project coordination, or related fieldsExperience supporting federal, state, or local government projects preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting outreach materials and correspondenceExperience managing data, trackers, or communication logs with high attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExperience supporting infrastructure, real estate, or land acquisition projects is a plusAbility to obtain public trust clearanceWe're Looking For Someone Who Is:Highly organized and detail-orientedComfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlinesProfessional and confident interacting with stakeholders, including landowners and project teamsProactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptableAble to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong communicator with a customer-service mindsetReliable, responsive, and accountableEducation:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Benefits:Comprehensive health insuranceVision, dental, and short-term and long-term disability401K with employer match (after six months of employment)Federal and non-federal paid holidaysFlexible paid time offGenerous bonus program based on firm and individual performanceAn opportunity to learn and grow in an inclusive and supportive environment with a fun teamLocation:The position is based in Washington, D.C.
