Ensuring safety and quality compliance, as well as precise production reporting, are major responsibilities of this role.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\nResponsibilities\nOperate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes\nMeet and/or exceed daily production goals\nReport all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors\nAssist mechanics whenever required to keep press/packaging equipment operational\nCorrectly feed slit ribbon material into the stamping dies and perform first piece inspection\nManually pack metal connectors and/or steel components into packaging containers.\nStrive to keep product waste to a minimum; inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containers\nMonitor production equipment coolant and oil levels and adjust accordingly\nOngoing inspection of products being produced to our internal quality standards\nComplete quality and production paperwork in its entirety throughout assigned shift\nAttendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty.\nThis includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.\n\nQualifications\nHigh School/GED preferred\nUp to 1 Year related experience and/or training preferred\nEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis\nAble to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply concepts of basic geometry\nAbility to read and understand prints and schematics\nAbility to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments\nAble to use Microsoft Office Applications\n\nSoft Skills\nGood communication\nProblem solving\nAdaptability\nCollaboration\n\nAdditional Requirements\n\nPhysical Demands\nThis is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull and crouch.
