Carpenter/Laborer

Dowty Construction is looking for full time experienced carpenters ($20-$25/hr plus quarterly bonuses)***This position will require a strong framing background. Also we are looking for full time experienced laborers ($14-$18/hr). Dowty Construction main focus is on decks, screened porches, pergolas, docks, and marine houses. Dowty Construction is a locally owned business that focuses on both our employees and our customers. About 95% of our work is in Southern Johnson County and Northern Brown County (Lamb Lake in Trafalgar and Sweetwater/Cordry Lake in Nineveh). These positions will have extremely consistent work. Job requirements for Carpenter: Strong framing background Layout Roof framing Experienced in Trex and Azek composite decking Reading blueprints Framing stairs Installing several types of hand rail, (Timbertech, Westbury Verticable, Horizontal cable rail, hog panel etc. -Installing car siding ceiling Installing hard board siding. Drive a barge/ pontoon MUST be able to swim Must have valid drivers license Ability to lift consistently over 50 or more pounds Job requirements for Laborers: Hard working Willing to learn Read a tape measure Pack heavy lumber - must be able to lift consistently over 50 or more pounds Set up tools in morning Drive a barge/ pontoon MUST be able to swim Must have valid drivers license.
