Non‑QM Underwriter (Remote | Part‑Time | Contract)Remote, part-time Non-QM underwriting role with consistent deal flow (~20 loans/month) and flexible schedule.Overview:We are seeking an experienced Non‑QM Underwriter to join our team on a remote, part‑time, contract basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned underwriter with strong non‑QM expertise who is looking for flexible hours and steady loan flow.Initial volume is approximately 20 loans per month, with the potential to increase over time.Compensation is production-based (per file). Details will be shared during the interview process.Key Responsibilities:- Independently underwrite Non‑QM loan products, including but not limited to: DSCR 2nd LiensBank StatementITINMulti-UnitInvestor and specialty Non‑QM products- Review and analyze loan files for creditworthiness, collateral risk, and guideline compliance- Issue credit decisions, conditions, suspensions, and denials with clear, well‑documented rationale- Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve conditions and move files toward clear‑to‑close- Ensure files meet investor and program guidelines while maintaining strong risk discipline- Maintain underwriting quality, consistency, and turn‑time expectations in a remote environmentRequired Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of direct Non‑QM underwriting experience (credit decision‑making required)Strong working knowledge of Non‑QM guidelines, investor overlays, and alternative income calculationsProven experience underwriting investor loans, including DSCR and asset‑based scenariosAbility to manage files independently with minimal oversightComfortable working in a remote, production‑based contract roleStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and sound credit judgmentWhy This Role:Flexible, remote underwriting opportunityConsistent Non‑QM volume without full‑time commitment (~20 loans/month)Opportunity to work with sophisticated investor‑driven loan productsPotential for increased volume or expanded role over time
