Secure appropriate approvals\nFollow up on jobs with operational team and customer to assure work completed satisfactorily, issues resolved, invoiced, and monies collected.\nPerform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nLeadership and supervisory knowledge\n75% office 25%-field (TRAVEL)- meeting w/ different UC’s (University of California) campuses in So Cal region travel is required as one of the UC’s is in Santa Barbara and there may be a need to support other locations now and then.\nPreferred - Bachelors of Science degree—in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or science degree that has history w/ chemistry\n-Appropriate environmental experience would be considered in lieu of a degree\nMust understand lab packing—packing lab to lab, understand the details of hazmat packing\nCertifications: 40 Hour Hazwoper, OSHA\n\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Competencies\nLeadership Skills to manage a team of chemists/technicians; computer skills; communication\nskills; confidence in dealing with new people and situations; Knowledge of the WIN System;\nChemical Compatibilities; negotiating skills\ncommunication skills; confidence in dealing with new people and situations; Knowledge of the\nWIN System;\nNegotiating Skills; Chemical compatibilities\n\nClean Harbors Technical Services\nWaste Disposal – Comprehensive disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at Company-owned facilities\nRecycling Services – Extensive recycling, reuse and reclamation options for materials such as solvents, chemicals, oil and electrical equipment\nChemical Packing – Safe, efficient handling and disposal of the widest range of chemicals, including reactives and compressed gases\nHousehold Hazardous Waste (HHW) Services – HHW collection programs of all types and sizes, facilitated by Clean Harbors expert personnel\n\nClean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
