This role is responsible for curriculum delivery, training facilitation, assessment administration, and maintaining training records in accordance with program requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nCourse SchedulingDelivery\nDevelop and maintain training schedules covering a variety of subjects and delivery methods.\nDeliver curriculum using adult learning methods in classroom, online, and hybrid environments.\nEffectively manage course logistics, time, and use of audiovisual/virtual platforms.\nCurriculumMaterials Support\nProvide subject matter expertise in providing feedback to refine user training programs, instructor manuals, facilitator guides, and learning tools.\nLearning ManagementRecordkeeping\nFacilitate participant registration in the Learning Management System (LMS).\nMaintain accurate records of attendance, proficiency, and course completions in the LMS.\nEnsure training results and assessments are documented and reflected on individual transcripts.\nAssessmentEvaluation\nAdminister, grade, and analyze assessments to measure learning outcomes.\nEvaluate training results to ensure alignment with learning objectives.\nCollaborationCommunication\nCommunicate training opportunities to staff and leadership.\nEngage with colleagues in problem-solving and contribute to cross-training efforts.\nComplete all required training-related documentation and reports in a timely manner.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Education or related field, OR equivalent coursework and experience.\nProven experience teaching or training in both classroom and virtual environments.\nStrong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional delivery methods.\nExperience researching and validating course material for currency and accuracy.\nProficiency with audiovisual systems, online learning platforms, and hybrid delivery tools.\nAbility to supervise practical application exercises during training.\nMust hold, or be able to obtain, required certifications for assigned curriculum.\nDesired SkillsCompetencies\nExcellent facilitation and public speaking skills.\nStrong organizational skills to manage multiple courses, audiences, and timelines.\nAbility to troubleshoot technical issues in classroom or virtual environments.\nExperience engaging with the full range of occupational levels, including executives.\nEffective written and verbal communication for training documentation and reporting.\nConditions of Employment\nMust complete NOAA IT Security, Records Management, and Safety trainings.\nMay be required to travel occasionally for training delivery or meetings.\nAll work performed on Government Furnished Equipment (GFE); compliance with NOAA/DOC IT and security standards required.\n\nAt CSS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and merit-based workplace.
