Childcare Worker Part-Time/On-Call Hours as Needed (Wednesdays 9:00-11:45 am; Wednesdays 6:15-8:45 pm; Thursday evenings) $16/Hour Wheaton Bible Church has a passion for serving families. We are looking for team members who desire to serve families by providing a safe, fun, and caring environment through childcare during church-related events. Children may range in age from 6 months to 11 years. Core Responsibilities Work on a per job basis which may include a one-time event or pre-arranged weekly events to provide childcare for children at Wheaton Bible Church. Agree to abide by policies and guidelines designed by Wheaton Bible Church staff to provide a safe and caring environment for children Arrive and leave at scheduled times Encourage a positive, caring environment within your room by welcoming parents and children as they arrive Engage with children through play, reading books, and role playing Teach Bible stories and assist in helping children understand the lessons Redirect child’s attention as a means of comfort or to resolve an issue Attend any training sessions offered Key Qualities Contagious love for children and their families Eagerness to personally connect with kids and parents Ability to work well with other team members Flexibility to work at various times Dependable Alignment with and commitment to assisting the ministries of the church in fulfilling our mission, vision, and values Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle
