They work closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to identify construction deficiencies, maintain project documentation, monitor quality and safety standards, and communicate project status throughout the construction process.\nA TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:\nSupport Construction Engineers and inspection staff on transportation construction projects.\nPerform inspection tasks in the field under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Inspection staff in support of bridge, retaining wall and roadway construction.\nSupport CEI team in efforts to identify, document and address deficiencies in the work of the Contractor and Sub-Contractors.\nAssist Construction Engineers with the management of project documentation including RFIs, Submittals, Correspondence, NCRs, and Change Orders.\nWork with various software programs to maintain project drawings, daily work reports and documents.\nEnsure contractor work and documentation is in conformance with contract requirements and technical provisions.\nCoordinate material testing and sampling of construction materials to ensure compliance with Materials Testing and Sampling Schedule.\nComplete training on Environmental Compliance (SWPPP) and Management of Traffic (MOT).\nCompile construction data to develop monthly reports for the Client.\nCoordinate and communicate with oversight team on project issues and progress.\nPerform constructability reviews of contract plans.\nAttend Contractor and Client meetings as needed.\n75/25 balance in Office to Field duties.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:\nBachelor of Science, Civil Engineering is required\nEngineer-in-Training or ability to obtain in 12 months\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum 1 year of experience preferred\nStrong communication skills\nAbility to build strong relationships\nLEVEL UP WITH LJA\nAt LJA, we’re 100% employee-owned.
