As project delivery models, regulatory frameworks, supply chains, and technology continue to evolve, our ability to stay flexible and agile in our project management approach is essential to our success.\nResponsibilities:\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:\nManaging project implementation including schedule, budgets, quality and safety.\nResource planning and management - including managing company resources assigned to the project as well as third party vendors, designers, fabricators and contractors.\nDirect the efforts of the full engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction management, and commissioning team in creating the execution plans, organization, and contracts needed to deliver the project within the stated cost and schedule.\nContinue to build a positive relationship with highly important & strategic clients who have significant future work in the area.\nPreparing and issuing Progress Reports and ensuring timely payments.\nMonitoring compliance with various regulatory statues as well as compliance with applicable Shimmick policies and procedures.\nProject stakeholder management and interface.\nCreation and implementation of Project Updates – Job Status Reports and Quarterly EAC Reports.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nPrevious heavy civil construction experience, managing projects in excess of $30 million.\nStrong understanding of construction contracts and risk mitigation.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n8+ years' experience involving heavy civil construction projects.\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field\nWater and Waste Water Treatment Plants, Concrete Structures, Electrical, Transit, Underground Utilities.\nKnowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera P6.\nStrong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail.\nAbility to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.\nWork independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.\nHighly organized with excellent time management skills.\nExcellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skill.\nExcellent project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in deadline-driven environment.\nAdditional Information:\nThis position is based in Northern California.\nQualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.\nThis position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization.\nThe salary range for this position is between $150,000 - $200,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.\n\nShimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA.
