The position reports to a Mission Area which executes programs that consist of a wide variety of development and operations solutions for Government and prime contractor customers within the US Government.\n\nThe Ground Systems & Services (GSS) Strategic Business Unit is responsible for driving business growth in the ground systems development, operations & sustainment, and technical services markets. This business unit focuses on designing, building and integrating ground systems in support of air and space-based assets, providing operational support for mission platforms and instruments and offering scientific and engineering expertise to our customers.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nLead the development and execution of a complex ground development program.\nManage all aspects of program delivery, including technical performance, schedule, and cost.\nProvide sound leadership and cross-functional team building to motivate, influence, and effectively apply the program staff.\nCoordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.\nApply project management best practices to ensure successful program outcomes.\nOversee large-scale program operations from planning through execution.\nManage subcontractor scope and execution performance.\nManage and support proposals, as required.\nMaintain a regular and predictable work schedule.\nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.\nPerform other duties as necessary.\nOn-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nWork is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.\n\nShort Term Incentive: Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.\n\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills\n\nBS/BA in related field plus 10 or more years related experience.\nEach higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.\nA current, active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.\nProven track record of successfully managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders.\nSolid knowledge of program management principles, practices, and tools, including Agile methodologies.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.\n#LI-NP1\n\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills\n\nMaster's degree in Engineering Management or equivalent.\nExperience with ground development programs, including system design, integration, and testing.\nKnowledge of integrated space systems, including space/ground integration and operations and sustainment.\nFamiliarity with BAE Systems' SMS product lines and technologies.\nSubcontract Management experience.\n\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317\n\nPlease note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
