Maintenance Planner & Supervisor
Cloverland Farms Dairy located in Baltimore City, Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Planner. The Maintenance Planner & Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities within the company, including preventive maintenance tasks, by developing work orders, prioritizing repairs, estimating costs, and coordinating with maintenance technicians to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational uptime is maximized; they often work closely with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage maintenance schedules and asset information. PayStarting at $85,000/yrWork ScheduleMonday - Friday, weekends as necessaryEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage maintenance schedules:Create preventive maintenance schedules, plan routine inspections, and schedule corrective maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality and work orders.Prepare preventive maintenance plans which are aligned with the company's maintenance goalsWork order creation and prioritization:Analyze maintenance requests, generate detailed work orders, assign tasks to appropriate technicians, and prioritize based on urgency and impact on operations.Parts and materials management:Identify required spare parts for maintenance tasks, ensure adequate inventory levels, and coordinate with procurement teams to order necessary materials.Data analysis and reporting:Monitor maintenance performance metrics, analyze equipment failure trends, and generate reports on maintenance activities and costs for management review.CMMS management:Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to record maintenance activities, track asset information, and generate reports.Collaboration with maintenance teams:Work closely with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and engineers to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks and address any issues that arise.Compliance with safety regulations:Ensure maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and procedures.Perform any other duties assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities3-5 years of supervisory experience in the maintenance/engineering field.Dairy, beverage, packaging, or process industry background required.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mechanics, carpentry, electrical, building maintenance, wastewater treatment and refrigeration systems.Ability to prioritize tasks, create detailed work plans, and manage complex maintenance schedules.Analyze data to identify trends, predict potential equipment failures, and optimize maintenance strategies.Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and operating boilers, chillers, pumps, generators, and cooling towers.Effectively communicate maintenance requirements to technicians, collaborate with other departments, and present findings to management.Ability and willingness to respond to emergency needs of the plantFamiliarization with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Experience in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basisWet and slippery floor conditions.Must be able to stand and walk during the entire shift.Constant bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, and climbing ladders during an eight (8) or ten (10) hour shift.Able to distinguish color, perform intricate tasks, read small print, and see at normal distances.Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.We offer a competitive benefit pack to include medical, dental and vision benefits for single and family coverage is available on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
