Data Center Facilities Technician

EPMA is hiring a Data Center Facilities Technician for one of our leading energy infrastructure clients. This is an onsite role supporting both data center operations and facility systems (cooling & power).Title – Data Center Facilities TechnicianType – Long Term ContractLocation – Houston Downtown - (onsite, 5 days a week)Industry – Oil & GasW2 Employment onlyResponsibilitiesPerform rack & stack, hardware installs, and cabling (fiber/copper)Support day-to-day data center operations and uptimeMaintain and troubleshoot cooling systems (chillers, CRAC/CRAH units)Assist with electrical systems (UPS, PDUs, power distribution)Respond to incidents and perform preventive maintenanceWork with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)Required5–7+ years of hands-on data center or critical facilities experience (not just IT support)Proven experience with rack & stack, structured cabling (fiber/copper), and hardware installsWorking knowledge of cooling systems (chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC infrastructure)Hands-on exposure to electrical systems (UPS, PDUs, power distribution, breakers)Experience performing preventive maintenance and responding to infrastructure incidentsFamiliarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow or equivalent) and operational workflowsAbility to read basic schematics, cabling layouts, or facility diagramsPreferredExperience in oil & gas, utilities, or mission-critical environmentsCertifications (CompTIA, HVAC, Electrical, or related)Experience with DCIM or monitoring tools
