The ideal candidate combines strong Microsoft SharePoint expertise with an eye for clean design, intuitive navigation, and exceptional user experience.\nThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, organizing digital content, and building modern intranet solutions that improve communication and employee engagement.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSharePoint Development & Portal Modernization\nDesign, build, and launch new pages within the organization's SharePoint-based intranet portal to support departmental and institutional initiatives.\nModernize existing legacy SharePoint pages by transforming outdated layouts into clean, responsive, and user-friendly experiences.\nImprove site navigation, page layouts, and information architecture to ensure content is organized, accessible, and easy to navigate.\nDevelop standardized page templates and design components that promote consistency across the portal.\nDigital Collaboration & Content Management\nCollaborate with Technology Services, Communications, and campus departments to gather business requirements, content, images, and functionality needs.\nTranslate stakeholder requests into visually engaging, functional SharePoint solutions.\nEnsure all portal content aligns with institutional branding, web standards, and accessibility guidelines.\nIntegrate Microsoft 365 tools including Forms, Lists, Document Libraries, and other collaborative resources into SharePoint pages.\nQuality Assurance & Technical Support\nPerform quality assurance testing to ensure pages function properly across multiple browsers and devices.\nValidate page permissions, navigation, links, formatting, and overall user experience before publication.\nTroubleshoot SharePoint page layouts, web parts, formatting issues, and basic configuration challenges.\nMaintain documentation and best practices for future SharePoint development and content management.\nProject Coordination\nManage multiple SharePoint projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.\nCommunicate project progress and timelines with stakeholders and leadership.\nRecommend opportunities to improve portal usability, organization, and overall employee experience.\nStay current with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 enhancements, applying best practices where appropriate.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Design, Digital Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).\nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint environments.\nExperience building and maintaining Modern SharePoint Communication Sites, Hub Sites, and intranet portals.\nStrong knowledge of:\nMicrosoft SharePoint Online\nMicrosoft 365\nSharePoint Modern Experience\nSite Navigation & Information Architecture\nPage Design & Content Management\nExperience working with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and SharePoint web parts.\nWorking knowledge of HTML and CSS for formatting and customization is strongly preferred.\nExperience integrating Microsoft 365 applications including Forms, Lists, Document Libraries, and related collaboration tools.\nStrong understanding of user experience (UX), digital accessibility, and responsive page design.\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.\nPrevious experience supporting higher education or large organizational intranet environments is highly
