The Plan Termination Specialist coordinates activities and manages relationships with all Plan stakeholders as well as the Department of Labor (DOL). Specialists maintain a project plan and document each task with target dates, highlighting significant milestones, and monitoring the timeline to avoid risk; while managing client and/or plan sponsor expectations. Specialists coordinate the liquidation of participant assets once a plan is declared abandoned by the DOL, works with the Escheatment area when necessary, and updates plan settings when the plan termination is complete.SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence.You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.How You Will Make an Impact:Lead small projects to ensure terminated and abandoned plans are properly closedWork collaboratively with management and internal teams to scope projects and schedule tasksProvide premier service to retirement plan institutional clients as well as plan sponsors, advisors, and TPAsDocument Plan Termination and Abandoned Plan project requirements, notes, and other critical information to be shared with relevant business unitsEstablish effective communications and change management activities for plan sponsorsRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree or 2-5 years of experience in financial services or similar environment and 1-2 years project managementKnowledge of retirement plan industry is preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsResearch, analytical and problem resolution skillsDemonstrated project management experienceStrong attention to detail with the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize to meet deadlinesAble to work in the local office 4-6 days per month.SS&C Technologies offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and future. Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
