Emergency Medicine Physician

Overview TeamHealth has an excellent full-time opportunity for a physician to join the emergency department (ED) team at Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown, Kentucky. The ED features a family-like atmosphere, strong advanced practice clinician support, and plenty of specialty back-up to make shifts enjoyable. J1 physicians are encouraged to apply. The position requires board certification or board eligibility in emergency medicine (EM), family medicine (FM), or internal medicine (IM), in addition to current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The newly renovated 15-bed ED handles about 25,000 patient visits annually, averaging 1.9 patients per hour with low-to-medium acuity. Supportive and well-staffed nursing is provided, and you can admit to your own colleagues within the TeamHealth Hospital Medicine program.
