We are supporting a global professional services firm in New York City as they look hire an HR Operations Manager to join their growing team.Please note that candidates from professional services, consulting or law firm backgrounds will be prioritized. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning core HR processes and ensuring employees receive a high-quality HR experience across payroll, benefits and HR operations.The position will play a key role in supporting a collaborative and fast-moving organisation where HR is highly valued.The RoleThis position will take ownership of day-to-day HR operations, with particular focus on payroll and benefits administration across the business.Responsibilities include:Managing end-to-end payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely deliveryActing as the primary HR contact for payroll queries and coordinating with finance where requiredManaging employee benefits and liaising with external brokers and providersSupporting employees with benefits queries and ensuring internal communications are clear and accurateAdministering HR policies, procedures and employee lifecycle processesSupporting leave management processes and ensuring compliance with relevant policiesEnsuring HR systems and records remain accurate and up to dateSupporting HR leadership with operational improvements and process developmentThe PersonWe are looking for someone who enjoys the operational side of HR and is comfortable owning core HR processes.Ideal candidates will have:Experience managing or owning payroll processesStrong understanding of employee benefits administrationBackground in HR operations within professional services, consulting or legal environmentsA hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detailExcellent communication skills and the ability to support employees across the businessA positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the roleYou will need to have current or previous ADP experience and if you have used HiBob please note this in your application as it's super beneficial. This role would suit someone looking for either a lateral move or the next step in their HR career, where they can take ownership of key HR functions while continuing to develop their expertise.Location: New York City with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote Salary: $140k-$165k + discretionary bonus
